Welcome to Awesome Kitty Cattery

Welcome to Awesome Kitty Cattery, a North Carolina cattery devoted to British Shorthair and British Longhair cats. Our cats live freely in our home as part of the family, surrounded by daily care, attention, and gentle socialization from the very beginning.

We are passionate about raising kittens with beautiful British type, sweet temperaments, and a strong foundation for healthy family life. Our goal is not only to breed beautiful cats, but to preserve and improve the qualities that make the British breed so special.

Our Approach

We believe responsible breeding begins with knowledge, thoughtful selection, and respect for the breed. All of our breeding cats complete full Basepaws genetic health testing, and we carefully plan pairings with health, temperament, structure, and long-term breed quality in mind.

We place great importance on calm, affectionate, balanced personalities, because true quality is not only seen in appearance — it is also felt in everyday life with the cat.

Our work is focused on improving type, expression, structure, coat quality, and overall breed standard while raising kittens that are loving, confident, and well suited for indoor family homes.

Education & Breed Development

For me, breeding is not something to approach casually. Responsible breeding requires continued learning, careful study, and a serious commitment to improvement.

I have taken private genetics lessons with well-known cat geneticist and judge Natalia Belova and continue to deepen my knowledge through webinars and ongoing education. My goal is not simply to produce kittens, but to thoughtfully improve health, structure, breed type, and overall quality with every generation.

I also value continued professional development through breed-related study, education, and involvement in the cat fancy.

Raised in Our Home

Our cats are not raised in cages. They live in our home and grow up as part of everyday family life. This helps our kittens develop into affectionate, well-socialized, and emotionally balanced companions.

We believe kittens should be raised with love, gentle handling, and daily human interaction so they are prepared not only for beauty, but for life in a loving home.
